Why Maldives Is One Of The Best Places To Travel In The World

Maldives.. In this country we can visualize this as a place of paradise described in three words - SUN, SAND AND SEA! Cause literally, every area here shows a perfect picture of euphoria to seek comfort, relaxation and fun under the sun!

As I've been sharing diaries of my stay here with surroundings of white crystal sands, clear waters and refreshing breeze, I've been trying out some adventures to discover my inner capabilities and everything NEW!

I used to go to beaches, waterfalls, and pools for a swim. But what's new was that I thrived to scuba dive! As a starter, I was assisted by a marine biologist friend to discover the marine wonders by going under the lagoon! I had a close encounter with the marine friends and a direct view of the ocean.

DO YOU KNOW?

  • Maldives is a coral archipelago located in the hub of the Indian Ocean to the South-West of India and Sri Lanka
  • They are mainly known for it's unique marine environment and ecosystem
  • They have two (2) of the world's largest atolls in the world - Thiladhunmathi Atoll with a total surface area of 3,788 km and Huvadhoo Atoll with a total surface area of 3,278 km (According to Convention of Biological Diversity)
  • They are a popular tourist destination for staycation and water sports as they have hundreds island resorts to explore both activities such as diving and snorkeling. They also have a high number of local and uninhabited islands
  • Between the islands surrounded in the Indian Ocean, there are channels connecting to the ocean to the lagoons
  • They are rich in marine biodiversity giving a healthy and growing marine life to land and sea animals, coral reefs, vegetation and other living things!
  • They are an example for a sustainable act of Eco-tourism
  • They are a safe haven to animals such as Whale Sharks, Manta Rays, Dolphins, Sharks, Turtles, reptiles, birds and more tropical and exotic species (which you'll get to see by chance!)
For me, island living is one of the best experiences in life. Because it makes me stop for a while from the loud, toxic ambiance in the city (which I miss sometimes). This makes me pause, breathe and rethink about life realizations. Just by simply appreciating real nature, real reverence, and real discoveries on Earth in a bigger picture.
